Family-owned and operated since 1986, Brant's Asphalt has been serving Westmoreland County and the surrounding Pittsburgh area for nearly 30 years. We are committed to serving our customers better than the rest. Word of mouth has always been our #1 marketing tool. We strive to keep our customers. It is our commitment to prolong the life of all asphalt projects and upkeep them to the best of our ability. We strive for the utmost quality on each and every project.
Brant's Asphalt originally started as a company that focused on seal coating, crack filling, line striping, and snow plowing. Over the years we have grown into a full-service asphalt contractor providing services ranging from Seal Coating to Infrared Asphalt Restoration and Full Range Paving Maintenance to New Construction Installation.
We are proud to share that Brant’s Asphalt is Pennsylvania’s very first Recovery Friendly Workplace. The purpose of this program is to enhance safety in the workplace and demonstrate a commitment to those in active recovery. As a team, this organization strives to promote a culture that challenges the stereotypes associated with substance use disorders. HISTORY
Ted Brant started the company in 1986. He took on small sealcoating jobs to help pay for a new pool table for him and his wife. After he completed his first large sealcoating job for a local church in Greensburg, PA, he started gaining more and more referrals. He eventually had no choice but to cater his attention to this new endeavor and quit his job at Dick Corporation. His wife, Ginger, left her career at Star Chevrolet to help in all financial aspects of the growing business. After 30 years of hard work, Ted and Ginger have grown the business into one of the most reputable paving companies in Westmoreland County.
Brant's Asphalt is Westmoreland County’s first Recovery Friendly Workplace. The Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative was created to provide businesses, like Brants Asphalt, the support and resources needed to foster a supportive environment that encourages the success of new hires and employees in active recovery.
EMPLOYEES
Son, Shane Brant, works as a full-time estimator and job supervisor. He has been working with the company since high school and came on full time after graduating from Robert Morris University in 2009. Daughter, Chrissy Cenkner, has been working alongside Ginger in the office for many years now. She is a 2011 graduate from Washington and Jefferson College. Many members of the team have been working with Ted and his family for over 20 years. Ted, Shane, and Al have a combined total of over 50 years with Brant's Asphalt. Our most important asset is our team. Given the right combination of managerial guidance, teamwork, communication, and training, our team will achieve the gains in productivity and quality that are required to meet our objectives.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS
The relationships cultivated since our establishment in 1986 continue to be the lifeblood of our business. These relationships continue to prosper with open communication and honesty. Educating our customers is a key component to our success on each and every project. The bulk of our customers reside in Latrobe, Greensburg, Ligonier, Mt Pleasant, New Stanton, Irwin, and Murrysville.

SPECIALIZED SERVICES
The Asphalt Industry is always changing. With new technologies and product development, we are committed to keeping up to date with new information becoming available to the industry. Our team attends the National Paving Expo every winter to learn about these new techniques and products. The classes they attend help them to better serve their customers. Some of our greatest investments have stemmed from attending these conferences. For example, Brants Asphalt is the only contractor in the area that has a Path Paver. The path paver is ideal for walking paths and golf cart paths. In addition, Brant's Asphalt specializes in infrared patching which is a method of mixing existing asphalt with new asphalt.
