History
In 1986, Ted Brant founded Brant's Asphalt, initially taking on small sealcoating projects to fund a personal purchase (pool table). His breakthrough came with a substantial sealcoating job for a church in Greensburg, PA, which led to an influx of referrals. As demand grew, Ted left his position at Dick Corporation to focus on the company full-time. His wife, Ginger, also transitioned from her role at Star Chevrolet to manage the financial side of the business. Over three decades, through dedication and hard work, Ted and Ginger have established Brant's Asphalt as one of the most respected paving companies in Westmoreland County. Today, both Chrissy (Cenkner) Brant and Shane Brant have fully taken over the business operations and ownership.

- Shane Brant, works with the team on daily operations. Shane began working during his high school years and has been a full-time member of the team since graduating from Robert Morris University in 2009. His deep understanding of the business, combined with his leadership, drives our projects to success.
- Chrissy (Brant) Cenkner, has been an integral part of our office operations for many years. A 2011 graduate from Washington and Jefferson College, Chrissy brings organization and efficiency to our administrative tasks, ensuring smooth business operations.
- Jackson, Shane's stepson, has recently joined our ranks, adding a new layer of experience and dedication to our team. As an Army Veteran, Jackson brings a wealth of discipline, leadership, and commitment to our workforce. His military background has instilled in him a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a unique perspective on teamwork and problem-solving. Jackson's service in the Army has equipped him with skills in logistics, maintenance, and leadership, which are invaluable in our day-to-day operations. We are proud to have him as part of our team, where he continues to serve, this time in the civilian sector, contributing to our collective goals with the same dedication he showed in the military.
- Many of our team members have been with Ted and the family for over 20 years, including Ted, Shane, Al & Greg, who together have accumulated over 100 years of experience at Brant's Asphalt. This longevity speaks to the strong, familial bonds and loyalty that define our company culture.

This synergy allows us to continually meet our objectives with high productivity and quality standards, ensuring that every project we undertake reflects our commitment to excellence.
Customer Relations
Since our founding in 1986, the relationships we've cultivated with our clients have been the cornerstone of our business. These bonds are nurtured through open, honest communication and a commitment to customer education, ensuring our success on every project. Our customer base is primarily located in Latrobe, Greensburg, Ligonier, Mt Pleasant, New Stanton, Irwin, and Murrysville. We are planning on expanding our commercial services in 2025 to many areas outside of Westmoreland County.
A testament to our enduring customer relationships is the work of Shane Brant, who has personally overseen the installation of numerous new asphalt installations on properties originally paved by his father, Ted, 20 to 30 years ago. This continuity showcases our dedication to not only initial service but also to longevity and maintenance, fostering trust and loyalty across generations.

SPECIALIZED SERVICES
The Asphalt Industry is always changing. With new technologies and product development, we are committed to keeping up to date with new information becoming available to the industry. Our team attends the National Paving Expo every winter to learn about these new techniques and products. The classes they attend help them to better serve their customers. Some of our greatest investments have stemmed from attending these conferences. For example, Brants Asphalt is the only contractor in the area that has a Path Paver. The path paver is ideal for walking paths and golf cart paths. In addition, Brant's Asphalt specializes in infrared patching which is a method of mixing existing asphalt with new asphalt.
